Support Options - Pre-Pay

Our Pre-Pay service is for medium to larger customers who typically have a server and 5 or more PC's on a network, or single users in a heavy use environment. This type of configuration tends to raise more support requests because of the extra technology and extra users.

Pre-Pay allows you to buy time for storing in a bank to draw upon when necessary. It comes with a free Best Endeavours Response Service but most Pre-Pay customers require a faster Response and pay for 4 or 8 Hour Response Time for extra piece of mind.

Pre-Pay includes additional benefits that are not available to Pay-As-You-Go customers…

  • 4 Hour or 8 Hour Response Times (for an optional extra fee)
  • Discounts on the Hourly Rate (larger discounts available for more hours purchased)
  • Daily Pro-Active monitoring of your system
  • On-Line Services (logging of Support Requests, Monitoring Progress, Statement History, Time Bank Status, Email notification)

The following table lists the current options and costs. (2007/8 price list).

Time purchased is valid for 12 months. Extra time purchased within the 12 months is only valid up to the initial expiry date. E.g. 3 hour pack @ £50 / hour purchased in Feb 2008 expires Feb 2009. Any extra time purchased after Feb 2008 expires Feb 2009.

This optional monthly fee entitles a 4 Working Hour Response to all Support Requests This optional monthly fee entitles a 8 Working Hour Response to all Support Requests This service entitles a Best Endeavours Response (within 3 days). It is the default Response if 4 or 8 Hour Response is not chosen. It is included free of charge with every Support Pack.

You decide how much time to purchase. The hours can be used for IT Support, Servicing, Repairs or Consultancy, as you see fit, and can be used on the phone, by email, remote control or site visit.

We recommend you pre-purchase more than you need because when pre-purchased time is exceeded, the excess is charged at the standard hourly rate of £60.

  • Minimum charge period is 1 hour for On-site, 15 minutes for phone, remote control or email.
  • Fees are payable by Standing Order.
  • A "paid" invoice is dispatched on receipt of each Standing Order as proof of payment.
  • A Statement is issued each quarter detailing the time used and any over or under use.
  • Customers without a 4 or 8 Hour response will not normally receive a response the same day and will be dealt with on a Best Endeavours basis, which may mean within 3 days. This is usually suited to smaller companies with peer to peer networks or stand alone PC's.
  • Where there are multiple sites/offices, the 4 or 8 Hours Response fee is payable for each site.
  • Support is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm (excluding Bank Holidays).
  • All quoted prices exclude VAT.

For customers within 25 miles of our office we do not charge a call out or mileage fee for site visits. For customers over 25 miles we charge 0.45p per mile to cover the travel time and fuel costs.
